Well, we graduated from UF (The University of Florida) in 2008 (most of us, at least). After leaving the halls (or atrium) of Weimer Hall, we're off to work in advertising, all across the country! So I was surfing YouTube like always, and came across these hidden camera pranks where the guy tries to pay for all kinds of purchases with pennies in NYC. The reactions are priceless. Enjoy.

Those virals are part of a capaign for Office Depot..who will sell school supplies for 1 cent, to try to drive sales since the recession has a big impact on office supplies. I think it's pretty good. Much more of a conncetion to the brand than elfyourself.com was, although you all know I thouroughly enjoyed that

Haha my grandmother would've owned half of the country if she had actually used all the pennies she collected

Funny you should mention that Julio... My grandma always had tins FULL of pennies. She would always use them to play poker with when her friends came over.

A copywriter who worked on these ads was a guest speaker at MAS on Monday...said that they had to film in NY because that's the only place you can find real people like the used car salesman.
